The BEtter Places Super Paper München Column

GET THE FEBRUARY ISSUE: SUPER PAPER X THE BETTER PLACES

We love print magazines. And our local heroes. So it happened that we worked together with the creative minds of Munich-based magazine ‘Super Paper’ on their latest issue.

In our column we share some tips with you: About shops, restaurants, culture in Munich and Berlin and a fashion-crush for travellers – this time from a Scandinavian brand.

Find here a short summary about the venues we mentioned and make sure to grab a copy of the february issue of ‘Super Paper’ to read the full article.

Drinks & Food

We introduce you to the two sommeliers at the new Grapes Weinbar in Munich and tell you why you should spend an evening at their #bigbottlechallenge. www.grapes-weinbar.de; Ledererstraße 8, 80331 München

Also we visited our friends at Container Collective Munich, a new creative village built with 27 trailers next to Ostbahnhof, and Neville Kuhlmann, who runs the Café ‘Kaserne de Janeiro’ there. www.facebook.com/kasernedejaneiro, Atelierstraße/Friedenstraße 81671 München

And about our food crush with the vegan asian creations of Berlin’s Ryong restaurant you can read more in our article here.

Shopping

‘Hygge’ is the word of the year in Scandinavia. Because from Danish and Swedish it could be translated with a mixture of cozy, homey and comfortable. This describes perfectly the things you find at the new shop ‘Hygge’ in Theresienstraße in Munich where you can buy nice interior things, decoration and cute stuff to buy. http://www.shop-hygge.de, Theresienstraße 51, 80333 München

Culture

The first Museum for Contemporary and Urban Art in Germany was opened in Munich. It’s called ‘MUCA’, is located in Munich’s city centre and shows upcoming artists next to well-known street artists. www.muca.eu, Hotterstraße 12, 80331 München

Fashion

When we visited the fair ‘Seek’ in Berlin in January, we fell in love with a special jacket. The Swedish brand ‘Stutterheim’ is famous for their handmade rain coats, but now they released a 2-in-1-jacket called ‘Skanstull’ which is a must-have for every travellers luggage. Shop here: www.stutterheim.eu

If you aren’t around Munich, you can download the latest issue also on their website: www.superpaper.de or read the full article here.
