You are looking for a nice but not too expencive hotel in Mallorca? Then I have the ultimate advice for you. A few weeks ago, I was in Mallorca with some girlfriends of mine staying in the most charming hotel in the most beautiful location – Cases De Ca’s Garriguar. The hotel used to be an old farm estancia, which was remodeled by a Spanish family named Col Pastor in 2001. It is the perfect hideaway, only five minutes from the famous village Valldemossa and 30 minutes from Palma de Mallorca.
The Hotel
Cases De Ca’s Garriguar has 12 beautiful rooms, which all have a small terrace or a nice balcony with a beautiful view of the courtyard of the hotel into the wild nature of the island. The rooms are decorated in a very authentic rural Mallorcan style and every room looks different, which makes the hotel even more charming.
The whole family works in the hotel and all of them speak perfect English and some also German. They want to make your stay as memorable as possible. Not only do they have a lovely breakfast buffet with a big variety of also lactose- and gluten-free foods, but also you get any kind of eggs you desire. After breakfast, one can relax at their beautiful pool with a delicious cocktail and enjoy the view of the mountains which circle the bed & breakfast.
Location
The hotel is located close to the beautiful town of Valldemossa, which people say is the most beautiful village in Mallorca. And I totally agree! It has fantastic restaurants and every Sunday there is a local market with delicious food stands with homemade breads, hams and cheeses. If you are there on a Sunday, take your time and walk around and try the dryed tomatoes. They are to die for. Sometimes on Saturdays they do a street festival with lifebands and dancing. The nice thing about this area is that it is not touristic. You will love it!
Since the hotel is located in the mountains, you definitely need a car to drive around especially if you plan to go to the ocean. There is a little bay which is absolutley stunning called Deià. It will take you about 20 minutes to get there by car through the mountains. There is a beautiful restaurant with a stunning view over the bay called Ca’s Patro March, with amazing seafood and freshly caught fish. Reserve there before you go because it is always packed and especially around 3 pm. If you don’t reserve you will wait at least an hour to get a table (in high season) because it is famous for its good seafood.
The nice thing about the location of this hotel is that you are experiencing a complete different Mallorca, than if you would stay in the city. Since the hotel is located in such a charming area of the island, you can really experience the Mallorcan lifestyle. However, if you still have the desire to party you can always drive to Palma which is only 30 Minutes away.
