You think you’re well-traveled? You’re satisfied with the memories of beautiful places you visited last year? But you haven’t been to Casa Cook Rhodes in Greece yet?
Then I have to say: You missed out on something.
Because this is the one design hotel that was popping up in our news feeds last year all along. And it was designed in collaboration with my design hero Michael Schickinger. That is of course him and his ingenious team at Lambs&Lions. Responsible for trendy boutique hotel projects like Papaya Playa in Tulum, San Giorgio and Scorpios on Mykonos, he is also developing concepts for brands such as 25 hours and most recently Thomas Cook.
Casa Cook is a new hotel brand by the gigantic travel company, that opened its first location last summer on the beautiful island of Rhodes, Greece. Thomas Cook? Yes. But during your stay you will see no hint of the parent company and packaged tour deals. And it works! Casa Cook understands how to maintain the authentic boho-vibe perfectly well. And the good news is: They’re opening a second location on the island Kos this summer.
But until summertime finally comes along, let me tell you all about the most instagrammed hotel of 2016 and how you can style your home like this dream location:
This adult only hotel describes itself as a “boutique hotel with bohemian spirit”. There are 97 rooms, each opening out onto swim-up pool and everything else you need: a restaurant, a bar, and the pool area, as well a gym and yoga space. Casa Cook offers affordable room rates starting at 140€/night. So start packing because I can’t wait to visit Kos this summer!
SHOP THE LOOK
Now if you – like me – want to move right in, I’ve attached a little shopping guide so you can meanwhile bring a little Casa Cook-vibe to your home.
I’ve been planning to buy a chair like this from Viva Mexico forever (read about my obsession of Acapulco chairs here). But I still have to make space in my apartment. So yes you should definitely get one. Check out their leather options too! Warm textures like rustic wooden stools or woven baskets are available at Westwing Now and give a nice beach-house touch. You can achieve small quick changes with monochrome ethnic-style cushions and some cacti decorations, via Maison Du Monde. A bold wallpaper like this design by Witch and Watchman is a bigger change but will definitely be a wonderful eye-catcher!
