“We don’t do conventional. We do fun.” – these are the words with which The Dean in Dublin welcomes you. The hotel is located in the heart of the Irish capital and is not an ordinary hotel. Forget all plans you made for Dublin. The moment you step into the hotel, you don’t want to leave. By entering the hotel, you already feel like you are one of the cool kids in town. Who you will find lounging in the lobby area anyway. Because it’s also a bar and hang out area for all locals. You immediately feel part of the Irish crowd. Some nice music is playing and the first thing you want to do is order a drink and chat with the people. Yes, the lobby is the hub.
Afterwards, take the elevator to go up to “Sophie’s“, the rooftop bar and restaurant. Not only do you have the perfect view over Dublin from here, you can also order amazing wood-fired pizza and everything else you might desire. Don’t forget to order some more cocktails from the good looking bar tenders. And when it’s warm enough stay and hang out on the terrace, they do however also have blankets in case it gets a bit chilly so you can relax on the lounge beds.
THE BEDROOMS
Ok, now for sure you will not want to move anymore. With fluffy pillows and super comfortable beds, the bedrooms are too cozy to leave. They fill your room with fun stuff, so it feels like you are staying at your mates house. From products by Grafton Barber, a Nespresso machine, condoms to amazing sweets which will satify your munchies, you will find everything in the rooms. Of course, there are different categories like the “Punk Bunk rooms”, the “Superroom”, the “Hi Fi rooms”, the “Mod Pod rooms”, the Suite to the Penthouse. All of them are fun in their own way and furnished completely different – which you can already guess by their names probably. In total, the hotel has 52 rooms and everyone will find something for his budget. Room prices start from 100 Pounds and go up to 500 Pounds. However, don’t come to the the Dean and expect a quiet rest. No! Enjoy the liveliness, the music and make some noise.
LOCATION
For all of you who actually make it out of the hotel, you basically have all you want to see in Dublin at your doorstep. You can do everything by foot. So for those of you who enjoy a proper pub-crawl, it will make your life easier. For those of you who want to see some culture stuff, you are at the perfect location, too. Only 1.5 km away you find the National Gallery of Ireland, the Science Gallery and right next to it the famous Trinity College. My personal highlight. Also close to the hotel you will find the Facebook and the Dropbox headquarters. Apart from all the cool pubs around you, you will as well find super nice restaurants like Angelina’s. However, for any further information about hip places, the staff at The Dean will definitely help you.
