That we do really love Vienna and its comfort food, we already told you some days ago in this article. But after all the ‘Knödel’ and traditional food, we really needed something fresh and different. So we tried the restaurant ‘Miznon’ in Vienna.
LIKE A COSY STREET FOOD PLACE WITH NICE INTERIOR
After Tel Aviv and Paris, they opened their restaurant – which is more like a really well designed street-food place – in the inner city of Vienna. And we have to confess: Not only the food (especially the various pita dishes) is great, but also the cozy and chaotic atmosphere made us fall in love with Miznon.

THE RECIPES? KEEP IT SIMPLE
Chef Eyal Shani creates great dishes following the ‘Naked Food’ philosophy: Don’t go too far away from the actual ingredients, which are sourced locally. The best example: the cauliflower which is served in whole. Here the chef tries to see it for what it is and only wants to maximize the taste instead of covering it with spices or many sauces. When you go there: Try one!
THE ATMOSPHERE HERE IS A AMAZING
And as we said, when visiting Miznon in Vienna you feel like you just stepped into a lovely, but crazy family place: First you choose a dish from the handwritten menu, then order directly at the counter and wait until they scream your name to pick up your dish.

The recommendation of chef Eyal Shani? “Minute Steak in the pita, the ‘Dinosaur Rib’ (a whole slow cooked rib of a cow) or the ‘Chicken Spachtel’ which we created especially for our restaurant in Vienna.”
