Can I stay here forever? In my beautiful home country Switzerland, I have found a little piece of heaven 914 meters above sea level. Hotel Villa Honegg is located in the heart of Switzerland, only 30 minutes away from the city Lucerne. And trust me, after you have seen the view from this hotel, you will never want to leave again.
The Rooms
The boutique hotel has 23 suites, which all offer the highest comfort and were decorated with natural materials and local accessoiries from the famous interior designers Jestico + Whiles, London. And the best part is that every room has an amazing view with a balcony! From all rooms you can see the beautiful mountain panorama and from some other rooms you have a stunning view on the Lucerne Lake. Of course these are my favorite suites since I grew up at a lake, so I couldn’t feel more at home.
The Spa
No matter where you are in the hotel, you can always enjoy a beautiful view. One of my favorite places at the hotel is the outside pool. It is heated all year, so even if you have meters of snow next to you, you can swim around and enjoy winter wonderland. What can be more relaxing? Also they have a big selection of massages and facials and of course they have a sauna and a steam bath. However, most likely you will find me in the outside pool staring at the Lucerne Lake and taking it all in.
The Restaurant
You can imagine that at a hotel like this the food is outstanding. They get their products from local producers and even some from their own garden. Either you can eat at the beautiful inside restaurant or (if the weather is right) on the beautiful terrace, which again has the amazing alpenpanorama und lake view. It has an unforgetable ambience. Even for afternoon tea to sit there, read a book and enjoy. The nature around you gives you hundred percent of relaxation.
In winter one can also snuggle up in the Fireplace Lounge. It is a beautiful room which was decorated with so much detail that I felt like at my home in switzerland right away.
Activities
For all of you who actually want to see something and leave the hotel, they have Golf Carts, E-Bikes or Mountain Bikes for you. So you can pack a small rucksack and explore the beautiful area around you, drive up mountains or explore the Lucerne Lake. You can also drive to Lucerne and enjoy the city. It is only 30 minutes away and the hotel can call you a taxi to pick you up. However, trust me, the moment you set foot in Villa Honegg you will not want to leave this little piece of paradise. For sure I don’t.
