Today marks the opening of the World’s leading Travel Trade Show ITB in Berlin. For this special occasion the German online travel platform YouDiscover has come up with a ranking of the best travel destinations in Southeast Asia, whether you are planning a trip to Angkor Wat, Bangkok or Singapore – here’s a short summary of the full study that you can find here.
1. Siem Reap, Cambodia
Because of its proximity to the infamous temple complex and national symbol Angkor Wat, the city of Siem Reap was elected the best travel destination in Southeast Asia on the list. Fairly low cost of hotel and activities make this city a perfect getaway for the huge amount of day trip activities and sightseeing offers.

2. Bangkok, Thailand

3. Singapore, Singapore
Even though average hotel cost is highest compared to other destinations in the study, Singapore is rich in activities ranging from the biggest Ferris wheel the “Singapore Flyer” to the futuristic “Gardens by the Bay”. If you’re not too tired after experiencing all these offers during the day, make sure to get a taste of the vibrant nightlife of the city.
